COURSE OVERVIEW:
Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness & MFC is designed to give everyone who works, or has contact, with children and/or young people, an introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation, and to raise awareness of the below areas.
This course has Safeguarding children’s board approval and is run by experienced trainers who have directly worked with CYP supporting them to exit CSE to enhance the training.
COURSE CONTENT:
- What is CSE is and how Children and Young People (C&YP) can be vulnerable to it
- Recognise signs of CSE in Children & Young People (C&YP) including the grooming process
- Coping strategies for vulnerable young people
- Develop safety plans and risk assessments to prevent and reduce MFC episodes
- How to report CSE and sign post to specialist support services
- How to respond appropriately to safeguard potential or actual victims of CSE in our care
- Support children and young people to exit CSE
